Farm Update

Market open Friday 12-7 and Saturday 9-4

2016 will go down as the year of the bug, at least here.  I have never seen so many bugs in my life on this little farm!  I was mowing, with the push mower, between rows of beans yesterday and was flushing out a cloud of things.    It's amazing.  Of course, some of the bugs are helpful bugs and some are not and thats one of the problems with non-organic growing.  When you spray with an insecticide you're killing everything, the good and the bad.  Being organic growers we have to grin and bare.  Unfortunately when we grin, this year, we have bugs in our teeth.   The good news is finally, finally, we have picked the first batch of tomatoes!! In the market this Friday and Saturday:

Tomatoes (heirloom and hybrid)
Sweet Corn
Egg plant
Sweet Onions (red and yellow)
Red Potatoes
White Potatoes
Lettuce
Asian Cucumbers
Beets (red and golden)
Zucchini
Yellow Squash
Zephyr Summer Squash (green & yellow)
Cabbage ($2 per head, WHAT!!)
Swiss Chard
Turnips
Eggs
Honey

Yoga on the farm returns this Saturday morning at 9.

Locally Yours,
Vicky and Steve
